Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity and System Administrator to join our technology team. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our systems and infrastructure. This role combines strong technical expertise in cybersecurity with hands-on experience managing servers, networks, cloud infrastructure, and end-user systems.
The ideal candidate will proactively identify and mitigate security risks, ensure system uptime and efficiency, and maintain strong data protection and disaster recovery protocols. You will work closely with software developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and other stakeholders to safeguard the integrity and availability of our digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure and system configurations across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Monitor systems for security breaches, analyze vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and other security tools to safeguard company assets.
- Perform regular system audits, patch management, access control reviews, and threat assessments.
- Implement and oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and data privacy regulations.
- Administer and maintain user accounts, file permissions, and role-based access controls.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to enforce secure coding practices and infrastructure design.
- Conduct security awareness training and foster a security-first mindset across the organization.
- Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for servers, network issues, and system outages.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head of Department and CEO.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in system administration and/or cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and SIEM tools.
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including server setup, configuration, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenStack) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in security incident response, digital forensics, and malware analysis.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and endpoint protection.
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox VE for virtualization and container management
- Experience configuring Proxmox for private cloud or VPS hosting environments
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and integrating security in CI/CD pipelines.
