Job Purpose: Electrical Engineer will be responsible for Construction, Coordination, planning and site supervision and commissioning of 330KV Gas Insulated Substation (for Evacuation of Power) part of 3000MW Captive Combined Cycle Power Plant. The role involves Planning, Scheduling, handling and Communication with GIS Vendor, site contractors, engineering team to ensure safe, timely and quality execution of works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise erection and installation works of 330 kV GIS, Gas-insulated busducts (GIB) and its interface with CPP / Remote Substation (one and half breaker scheme), EHV Cable.
• Ensure construction/installation is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications.
• Consult with OEMs/ GIS vendors, internal departments (Procurement, Quality, Engineering) to obtain necessary technical inputs/clarifications.
• Coordinate with MEI (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) contractor and collaborate closely with civil contractor for foundation readiness, cable trenches, earthing works, and equipment erection supports.
• Verify receipt of materials/equipment against packing lists/specifications for GIS Substation and report non-conformities/damages observed.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of equipment until installation.
• Review vendor drawings and provide clarifications to contractors, resolve technical & commercial issues faced during execution.
• Preparation/ review of method statements for Electrical activities with timeline.
• Prepare punch lists and track resolution with contractors/vendors.
• Monitor progress of site works and reporting of status to management.
• Escalate delays, non-conformities, or critical issues to Management promptly.
• Prepare Catchup Plan with resource augmentation for a better and flawless execution.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 6-7 years of Hands-on experience of execution of GIS Substation project (Erection / Commissioning of GIS Substation)
• Experience in vendor coordination, material inspection, project monitoring
