Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and technically competent Mechanical Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support the installation, inspection, and mechanical integration of CNG and LCNG systems across Rolling Energy project sites in Nigeria. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with the Project Coordinating Team to ensure that all mechanical components, piping systems, and related equipment are properly installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with approved designs, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.

This role is primarily field based, focusing on installation supervision, quality assurance, and ensuring mechanical reliability during project execution and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical Installation & Supervision

  • Support the installation and alignment of mechanical systems and components across all CNG and LCNG project sites, including piping, compressors, dispensers, valves, and storage systems.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, technical standards, and vendor specifications.
  • Supervise contractors and technicians involved in mechanical assembly, testing, and integration.
  • Verify all mechanical installations for fit, function, and safety prior to commissioning.

4. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all mechanical works comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and Rolling Energy safety policies.
  • Support on-site HSE officers in enforcing mechanical safety procedures, use of PPE, and proper work practices.
  • Conduct basic quality control checks (pressure testing, leak testing, and alignment verification) before commissioning.
  • Document mechanical inspection results and participate in handover verification processes.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of mechanical installations, inspections, and test results.
  • Prepare brief daily or weekly mechanical progress reports for submission to the Project Coordinating Office.
