Job Function
To ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in assigned territory by identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining existing business for DP World. Managing a team of well trained and motivated sales representative across the territory through regular infield training, clear communication and constructive feedback mechanisms.
Key Performance Areas:
- Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives for the region under your management through execution of agreed strategies and DP World strategic plan.
- In field coaching and mentoring of sales personnel to improve overall team skills and behaviours. This includes correction of strategy and guidance on objection resolution.
- Responsible for personnel management, monitoring and evaluating the performance of all field service personnel including the recruitment, training, coaching, development, and corrective counselling.
- Submission of required reports within set deadlines to the Line Manager related to team performance, regional activities, projects in progress, successes and areas for improvement
- Attend trade meetings, congresses & cycle meeting and CME/CPD
- Maintain required team call rate/coverage targets through monitoring of SFE systems.
- Utilising the SFE system and built-in reports to identify trends that are impacting sales performance and provide feedback to representatives for corrective action plans.
- Maintain key opinion leader contact within the team for each rep's key customers.
- Compile and update a Sales Operating Plan for the Region after each quarterly review with detailed analysis and feedback to the leadership team.
- Constant performance management of the team to ensure optimal sales delivery through coaching reports, feedback and formal DP World processes.
- Set vision and strategy for their respective region. Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business opportunities that can impact and drive their region.
- Assist the marketing team with forecasting of core products.
- Monitoring sales activities and expense budgets in-line with targets.
Qualifications Required:
- A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing or Business.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years Sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years Sales Management experience (in particular a pharmaceutical sales team).
- Prior experience of the Sub Sahara African region pharmacy & hospital environment is an advantage and preferred.
- Strong sales track record and evidence of delivering on targets consistently.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage, collaborate and influence at all organizational and management levels.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

Our client, a retail organization, is looking to hire an area manager who will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the operations of a number of neighborhood retail stores and will assume responsibility for the overall success of the retail stores by setting targets, supervising store managers, and ensuring they are attained.
Responsibilities
· Visit each store at least twice a week to check the cash balance (including the safe) and draw up a shop visiting report (Store Check) at least once a week.
· Visit new stores on a daily basis in order to check on them and help the store manager with the daily procedures.
· Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency
· Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions
· Ensure successful solutions to customer and vendor complaints, along with effective grievance solutions, are implemented.
· Drive sales performance within the area or district.
· Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget
· Lead a team of store managers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals
· Decide on the number of personnel and control the working hours of the personnel of each store.

Qualification and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or management-related courses
· Minimum 7 years of work experience in an FMCG, retail, or financial institution; 2 to 3 years of such experience should have been in the role of an area manager.

· Good understanding of performance evaluation metrics
