Position Overview
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Factory Technicians to handle the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery used in furniture and door production. The Factory Technician plays a critical role in ensuring smooth factory operations, minimal downtime, and high-quality output through proactive equipment management, technical support, and safety compliance.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining optimal production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Set up, operate, and calibrate machines used in furniture and door production
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance
Monitor equipment functionality and record performance data
Replace worn-out parts, lubricate machinery, and schedule regular servicing
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic faults in machinery
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize downtime
Repair or escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or vendors
Maintain logs of repairs, spare parts usage, and maintenance activities
Production Support & Quality Assurance
Collaborate with production teams to meet daily output targets
Conduct pre-operation checks and verify equipment alignment
Support quality control by ensuring machines produce to approved specifications
Report and help resolve defects or inconsistencies detected during production
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all machinery is operated safely and in line with factory standards
Comply with OSHA, HSE, and internal safety procedures
Conduct routine inspections and participate in toolbox talks
Report hazards and implement corrective actions promptly
Inventory & Documentation
Manage tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies

Requirements & Qualifications
Education
OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
Trade Test or Technical Certifications are an added advantage
Experience
2–6 years of hands-on experience working in manufacturing or production environments
Experience in furniture, woodwork, metal fabrication, or door production machinery is a strong advantage
Technical Proficiency

Job Purpose
To perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of all rotating and static mechanical equipment in the refinery and associated power generation units (boilers, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.) to ensure continuous, safe, and reliable plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, overhaul, and alignment of rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and gearboxes.
- Perform installation and maintenance of piping systems, valves, pressure vessels, and mechanical seals.
- Execute preventive maintenance as per CMMS schedules
- Assist to diagnose mechanical faults using vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis data.
- Conduct maintenance on gas turbine auxiliary systems (lube oil, hydraulic, fuel, and cooling systems).
- Assist in overhauls of gas turbines, combustion chambers, and steam turbines.
- Support maintenance of boilers, condensers, and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG).
- Fabricate and repair mechanical components, ensuring alignment and tolerance checks.
- Participate in shutdown planning, execution, and commissioning of equipment.
- Ensure adherence to refinery safety and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
- Maintain records of maintenance jobs, parts used, and inspection findings.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and alignment techniques.
- Familiarity with gas turbine/thermal power plant mechanical systems
- Understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.
- Ability to use laser alignment, torque wrenches, dial gauges, and vibration analyzers.
- Knowledge of lubrication systems and reliability maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Trade Test 1/ National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or power generation plant.
- Certification in Turbine Maintenance, API 610/617 Equipment, or similar is an advantage.
