We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Fiber Installation Support Technician to assist with the deployment and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure. The successful candidate will support field teams in cable installation, duct laying, and related civil works while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in demanding environments with flexible schedules.

Assist installation teams in daily fiber deployment activities.

Pull and route fiber optic cables through ducts, trenches, and buildings.

Lay and secure HDPE ducts and conduits according to project specifications.

Clear interlocks and physical obstructions during installations.

Support trenchless installation methods such as thrust boring.

Perform groundwork tasks including trenching, backfilling, and site restoration.

Be available on-call for urgent assignments, including weekends and public holidays.

Ensure proper handling, use, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials.

Adhere to all company, client, and industry safety procedures during field operations.

Provide progress updates and coordinate effectively with field supervisors and the back-office team.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fiber installation or related civil works.

Familiarity with tools, techniques, and processes used in cable pulling and duct installations.

Good physical strength and stamina, with the ability to work in challenging environments.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible hours.

Ability to follow technical instructions and perform tasks under supervision.

Must be reachable by phone and available to report on short notice.

Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices in construction or fiber projects.

Must be a Nigerian citizen.

Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Full-time availability; immediate starters preferred.

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Fiber Installation Support Technician to join our field operations team in Lekki. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of fiber optic infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, physical fitness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends when required.

Assist in the installation of fiber optic cables through ducts, conduits, and designated pathways.

Lay and manage HDPE ducts to protect and organize fiber cables.

Remove interlocks and other obstructions to enable smooth cable routing.

Execute thrust boring for underground fiber pathways under roads and obstacles.

Provide on-site field support for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental protocols on all project sites.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians to ensure successful project execution.

Accurately document work activities, including cable paths, duct layouts, and field challenges.

Education:

OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience:

1–3 years’ hands-on experience in fiber optic cable installation or telecommunications.

Technical Competencies:

Strong knowledge of fiber optic systems and installation procedures.

Proficiency in HDPE duct laying, thrust boring, and interlock removal.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Effective communication and reporting abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically fit, capable of lifting heavy equipment, and able to work extended hours in the field.

Certifications (Preferred):

FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician or equivalent certification.

Monday to Saturday

Availability on Sundays when required

The Business Support Officer will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the company’s payment terminal service operations. Project & Stakeholder Support
