The Support Nest Initiative (SNI) is an Abuja-based non-governmental organisation committed to fostering community development and social inclusion. Our latest project, READ Abuja, is a transformative initiative dedicated to revitalizing public libraries into inclusive, digitally enabled learning and civic hubs. We aim to support vulnerable populations, including women, youth, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and street-connected children, by providing access to quality education and creating safe spaces for lifelong learning.

Job Description
The Support Nest Initiative is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Partnerships & Sustainability Manager to join our team.
he successful candidate will lead the strategic efforts for Project READ, building the relationships and funding streams necessary to secure its long-term success.
This role is perfect for a natural "connector" who is passionate about community development and skilled at turning project outcomes into compelling stories that inspire action.
Responsibilities
Partnership Development: Map and cultivate strategic alliances with FCT ministries, NGOs, corporate CSR teams, and local influencers; negotiate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and sponsorship packages.
Government & Stakeholder Liaison: Successfully navigate and maintain productive working relationships with the National Library of Nigeria and other relevant federal government agencies to ensure project alignment and institutional support.
Community Mobilization: Design and oversee innovative outreach campaigns to drive library membership and program participation, specifically targeting women’s groups, PWD networks, and street-connected youth. < r> C mmunications & Advocacy: Organise high-impact library events, pitch the READ Abuja vision to stakeholders, and craft compelling impact stories, op-eds, social media content, and press releases. Represent SNI and Project READ at external forums and events.
Sustainability Planning: Develop and implement revenue-diversification strategies (e.g., “Adopt-a-Shelf” programs, paid workshops, micro-donation campaigns) to ensure programming continuity beyond the initial grant period.
Brand & Visibility: Build and guard the brand identity for both SNI and Project READ, overseeing social media updates, managing the design of marketing collateral, and ensuring consistent messaging.
Performance Success Metrics (KPIs)
Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet key performance indicators, including:
The number of targeted strategic partnerships formally agreed upon per quarter.
The number and value of new grants or funding arrangements successfully attracted.
A measurable increase in library usage and program participation by targeted vulnerable populations.
The successful implementation and functionality of new sustainability mechanisms.
Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong public speaking, persuasive writing, and design oversight capabilities.
Familiarity with digital tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and CapCut.
Basic understanding of social media analytics.
Networking: A demonstrated ability to influence and secure in-kind or financial support from corporate, government, or diaspora channels.
Soft Skills:
A persuasive and passionate storyteller.
Adept and confident in public speaking.
Culturally sensitive with a community-centered approach to work.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
You are an outgoing “connector” with an existing professional network in Abuja and/or Lagos.
You are skilled at translating technical project outcomes into compelling human narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Benefits
A starting monthly net salary of N250,000.
