Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing individualized education programs for students with special needs. The role involves adapting teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs, providing a supportive learning environment, and ensuring that all students have access to the curriculum.

Position Overview

The Special Education Teacher will work with students who have learning disabilities, developmental challenges, and diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assess students to identify learning needs, strengths, and eligibility for services.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs in compliance with school requirements.
• Plan and deliver lessons and activities tailored to each student's abilities.
• Teach and mentor students in a variety of settings, including whole-class, small-group, and one-on-one instruction.

To provide high-quality teaching and learning for students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring that each learner receives tailored support that fosters academic progress, personal growth, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess students with special educational needs through observation, testing, and collaboration with colleagues and parents.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each learner.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles, abilities, and challenges.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curricula, teaching methods, and learning environments.
