About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Security Engineer to lead our security architecture and protect the integrity of our payment, remittance, and financial systems. In this role, you will define the company's security strategy, ensure compliance with industry standards (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001), and safeguard sensitive financial and customer data. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security-by-design across platforms, applications, and payment infrastructure.

- Define and own the security engineering roadmap aligned with regulatory and payment industry requirements.
- Act as the security authority for fintech products, APIs, and payment integrations.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 3+ years in a principal or lead role within fintech, banking, or payments.

- Deep understanding of PCI DSS controls, encryption, tokenization, and HSMs.
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Role Overview:
The Compliance/Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security and compliance frameworks across Gopaddi's infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can identify risks, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
- Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security best practices into development processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security trends, threats, and compliance changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in security engineering, compliance, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain advanced IT security controls (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAFs).
Lead vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate security events across enterprise networks.
Safeguard critical data using encryption, DLP, anti-malware, and SIEM solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years in IT security engineering (cybersecurity, infrastructure, or application security).
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft, Unix, Solaris, Oracle, and SQL systems.
