Role Overview
The QA/QC Officer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that all furniture fabrication activities from raw material procurement to finished products —meet company standards, client specifications, and industry quality requirements. This role plays a key part in reducing defects, minimizing rework, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA):
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA procedures for the furniture production line.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure compliance before production begins.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to prevent errors and establish quality checkpoints.
- Train production staff on quality standards, finishing techniques, and proper handling of materials.
Quality Control (QC):
- Inspect incoming raw materials (timber, boards, laminates, hardware, fabrics, etc.) to verify compliance with standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections during cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and upholstery stages.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, joinery quality, surface finishing, polishing/painting, and hardware fittings
- Monitor packaging and loading to ensure safe handling and delivery without damage.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain inspection and test records, material certificates, and product quality logs.
- Prepare daily/weekly quality reports for factory management.
- Track recurring defects and recommend long-term preventive measures.
- Support final project handover documentation for clients.
Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend process improvements to reduce waste, defects, and rework.
- Benchmark quality against industry best practices.
- Support the introduction of new tools, jigs, or machinery that enhance product quality and consistency.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- HND/Bachelor's degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Production, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in QA/QC within furniture manufacturing or joinery.
- Knowledge of furniture materials, joinery methods, upholstery, finishing techniques, and hardware applications.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, measurement tools, and finishing standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of production/QA software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret design/shop drawings.
Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and leadership ability to work with factory teams.

- Oversee local and international deliveries with logistics partners.
- Track shipments to ensure on-time, safe delivery.
- Source and negotiate contracts with reliable logistics providers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, costs, and partner performance.
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years' experience in quality control and/or logistics (preferably in fashion, textiles, or luxury retail).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce high standards.
- Experience with logistics management (local and global).
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and resilience under tight deadlines.

Job Purpose:
To ensure that all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products are tested according to approved specifications and meet quality standards, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Ensure sampling, testing, and release are conducted in accordance with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
- Prepare and review test reports, COAs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, pH meter, etc.
- Participate in method validation, method transfer, and stability studies.
