br>This is a fully remote position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research and analyze user needs to inform design decisions for an online marketplace.
- Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for our website and mobile-responsive application.
- Develop clear user flows, journey maps, and information architecture for all core features (e.g., product search, checkout, seller dashboard).
- Design responsive layouts that function seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Establish and maintain a consistent design system, style guide, and UI component library for our developer to use.
- Collaborate closely with our developer to ensure design integrity and feasibility during the implementation phase.
- Present and articulate design concepts and decisions to the team.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and, eventually, user testing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in UI/UX design for digital products.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions for web or mobile applications is required.
- High proficiency in industry-standard design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Penpot.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of typography, color theory, and layout.
- A solid understanding of interaction design principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
- The ability to translate complex problems (like a marketplace checkout process) into simple, intuitive user experiences.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
- A problem-solving mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills):

This is a contract position that will last 4 months to build our MVP. Successful completion and platform growth may lead to extending the contract.
Salary: ₦ 190,000 per month.
