Job Description
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all
switchgear control circuits and generators in br>compliance with procedures and OEM (Original
Equipment Manufacturer) recommendations.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment in < r>generating stations, conducting tests on defective
equipment to identify malfunctions or failure.
• Replace and repair equipment such as relays, switches, < r>and indicating and recording instruments to ensure
continuous operation
Conduct detailed Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
on failed equipment or processes and implement
preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Monitor equipment loading and operate power < r>generation systems efficiently and cost
-effectively
Requirements
• First Degree or its equivalent < r>Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or
related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years job-relevant < r>experience preferably in Power Plant
Unit.
Nature of Work: Shift
Location: Factory, Ogun State
Salary: #2.9m - #3.5m

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and panels in the mill.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in production equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Replace faulty components such as switches, fuses, and wiring as needed.
Installation and Setup:
Install new electrical systems, circuits, and equipment in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Assist in setting up and testing machinery during installations.
Troubleshooting &Compliance
Inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Use diagnostic tools and techniques to locate and resolve faults efficiently.
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Update technical drawings, schematics, and manuals as changes are made to electrical systems.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to support the mill's operations.
Report recurring electrical issues to supervisors and suggest long-term solutions.
