Internal Collaboration

- Provide input on training programs for clients' in-house accounting teams.
Training And Support
- Train client teams on using accounting tools effectively.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
Reporting And Analysis
- Generate operational efficiency reports for clients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Reports To: Senior Manager - Financial Operations Expenditure and Fixed Assets
Division: Finance
Mission:
- To develop and manage the implementation of policies and procedures for proper accounting and reporting MTNN fixed asset.
To ensure all CAPEX purchases are within Budget, EXCOM, Board approval and delegations of Authority
Description:
- Develop MTNN's fixed asset accounting policies, processes and procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements and international accounting standards.
- Oversee the enterprise assets management process to deliver expected results in line with MTNN policy
- Manage the process of movement of CAPEX materials to site by structuring materials demand and creating transfer order on the Oracle Fusion.
- Oversee the process of creation of purchase requisitions for CAPEX services.
- Define a process to ensure accurate and timely provision of fixed asset operation and accounting related information in the financial statement.
- Ensure conformance of all fixed asset disposal to company's disposal policy as well as all capital inventory issues for site build to MTNN Work in Progress Policy and procedures.
- Ensure application of appropriate depreciation rate and residual value; adequate support for ownership and value of MTNN fixed asset and all new business initiatives are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Manage the process of assets tagging and asset verification.
- Oversee the enterprise assets management process to deliver expected results in line with MTNN policy
- Oversee development, prompt preparation and distribution of fixed assets input into financial reports.
- Obtain capital acceptance certificate for MTNN Qualifying Capital Expenditure.
- Manage custom duty adjustment on fixed asset value.
- Ensure impairment, decommissioning cost, rebates and partial scrapping are timely and accurately recorded and accounted for in the financial statement.
- Coordinate fixed asset accrual reconciliation before reporting in the financials.
- Prepare and present regular and adhoc reports on fixed assets operation and accounting and related issues.
- Develop and maintain an effective relationship with all departments and the external auditors with reference to fixed assets to ensure maintenance of appropriate fixed assets records to support external financial reporting and to meet audit and tax requirements.
- Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules
Education:
- A first degree in Accounting/ Finance or other related discipline
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA)
Fluent in English
Experience:
6 - 13 years' experience which includes:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Knowledge of integrated ERP system (distribution, fixed assets, accounts payable, maintenance, project accounting, procurement WIP and BOM)
- Solid understanding of systems, financial controls, and best practices
- Experience in working with fixed asset management system and Enterprise Financial system
