Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and dependable Field Network Support Engineer to join our technical operations team. This position involves the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and internet services at customer locations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in ISP or telecom environments and be capable of working independently in field-based roles.
Key Responsibilities Network Installation & ConfigurationInstall and configure internet and network devices (routers, switches, modems, cabling, etc.) at client sites.
Follow standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
Perform service verification tests including signal strength and connectivity.
Educate clients on basic equipment use and maintenance.
Troubleshooting & Technical SupportDiagnose and resolve customer complaints related to network and connectivity issues.
Respond promptly to service tickets and maintenance requests.
Escalate complex issues to internal support teams or the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Maintain proper records of site visits, installations, and service reports.
Customer Service & Relationship ManagementProvide professional on-site support and clear communication with customers.
Address client concerns and guide them on service improvements or upgrades.
Work with internal teams (e.g., Sales or Account Managers) to share customer feedback.
Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure installations are done according to safety and quality standards.
Conduct follow-up inspections and service performance checks.
Stay informed about the latest industry tools, technologies, and standards.
RequirementsQualificationsMinimum of SSCE/WAEC. OND/HND/B.Sc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science is preferred.
2–4 years of experience in field service, network installation, or support roles within an ISP or telecom company.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and basic cabling.
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and modems.
Ability to work with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
Excellent problem-solving, technical, and communication skills.
Must be physically fit, with the ability to install and mount devices.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Lagos and its environs.
