Role Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control & Logistics Manager to ensure Oak garments meet the highest standards of luxury and are delivered seamlessly to clients. This role combines precision in garment inspection with efficiency in logistics management, safeguarding Oak's reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and customer experience.
What You'll Do
1. Quality Control
- Inspect garments at every stage of production (cutting, sewing, finishing).
- Develop and implement a QC checklist and defect reporting system.
- Approve only garments that meet Oak's luxury quality benchmarks.
- Train production staff on quality expectations.
- Maintain a checklist and QC log for every dispatched order Logistics Package each order professionally using branded materials Label each package clearly with order ID, customer name, and delivery address Liaise with couriers (GIG, Bolt, local dispatch) for timely pickups Share tracking information with the customer via WhatsApp Maintain a delivery log and confirm successful drop-offs Restock packaging materials weekly (bags, tissue, stickers, tags)
2. Logistics
- Manage packaging to reflect Oak's premium brand image.
- Oversee local and international deliveries with logistics partners.
- Track shipments to ensure on-time, safe delivery.
- Source and negotiate contracts with reliable logistics providers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, costs, and partner performance.
Requirements
- 1 - 2 years' experience in quality control and/or logistics (preferably in fashion, textiles, or luxury retail).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce high standards.
- Experience with logistics management (local and global).
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and resilience under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management tools is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA):
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA procedures for the furniture production line.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure compliance before production begins.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to prevent errors and establish quality checkpoints.
- Train production staff on quality standards, finishing techniques, and proper handling of materials.
Quality Control (QC):
- Inspect incoming raw materials (timber, boards, laminates, hardware, fabrics, etc.) to verify compliance with standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections during cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and upholstery stages.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, joinery quality, surface finishing, polishing/painting, and hardware fittings

Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare daily/weekly quality reports for factory management.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- HND/Bachelor's degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Production, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in QA/QC within furniture manufacturing or joinery.
- Knowledge of furniture materials, joinery methods, upholstery, finishing techniques, and hardware applications.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods, measurement tools, and finishing standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of production/QA software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret design/shop drawings.

- RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes, monitors, documents construction activities to assure quality and conformance with plans and specifications - Conduct the three phases of control for each definable feature of work
- Conduct and organize QMS Internal/External audit and ensure close out of all inspection and audit non-conformities
- Reviews, tracks and summarizes quality control non-conformances and ensures appropriate follow up
- Prepares and maintains daily checklists and inspection reports
- Responsible for certifying that all submittals are in compliance with the contract requirements
- Update Submittal Register
- Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site
- Supervises Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records
- Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity
- Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records
- Understands material testing procedures and witnesses test(s) performed by others
- Evaluates the qualifications of welders, Non-Destructive Test-NDT technicians, and inspection personnel with regard to the activities assigned
- Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities
- Supports the Welding & Non-Destructive Test-NDT qualification activities
- Supervises inspection of defect renewal and welding
- Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials

Maintain a complete set of drawings on site used in the As-Built (red line) process

REQUIREMENTS
QCM shall have a bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Quality Control and a minimum of 10 years of experience implementing construction quality control programs for similar projects- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government clearance
