The position

The Network Security Engineer (NSE) is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the bank's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance. This role covers LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, and AWS cloud networking environments, ensuring reliable communication and connectivity across the business.

What you'll do

  • Design, configure, and deploy network solutions and services on AWS Cloud and on-premises (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).
  • Set up and manage LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity to support business operations.
  • Design and configure Amazon VPCs, subnets, route tables, and gateways.
  • Implement secure connectivity solutions including AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, and Transit Gateway.
  • Build hybrid network architectures integrating on-premises and AWS environments.
  • Configure and manage AWS NACLs, Security Groups, and AWS WAF.
  • Monitor network performance using AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and other monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot routing, connectivity, and latency issues in AWS environments.
  • Manage IT networks and communication infrastructure to ensure high availability.
  • Research, recommend, and implement upgrades and improvements in network security architecture.

Requirements

What you bring

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4–6 years' experience designing, implementing, and managing corporate networks.
  • Proven experience with AWS networking services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Cisco certification (CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, HTTP/S, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, AWS Global Accelerator.
  • Awareness and understanding of the financial services industry.

Job Duties

The Network and Infrastructure Manager is the manager of GVA's network and telecommunications infrastructure divisions.   • Oversee and ensure the implementation of appropriate maintenance processes to preserve long-term service performance.
    Produce network infrastructure management procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that assignments are completed on time and in accordance with defined schedules.
  • Escalate any issues encountered to management.
  • Produce activity reports and other reports.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports.
  • Comply with the company's QHSE standards.
  • Comply with the company's anti-corruption rules.
    Act as the technical director's local liaison on infrastructure and network engineering issues

The position is part of a context of application and scrupulous respect for the procedures and standards of the regulations in force as well as the internal regulations.

Required profile

Education and experience

  • Engineering degree in telecommunications/computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
    Professional certifications in computer networks would be an advantage

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar position, including at least 3 years in a management role.
  • 8 to 10 years of professional/technical experience in the B2B infrastructure/telecommunications sector, with a strong understanding of planning and designing internet access delivery networks.
  • Experience in a service company designing FTTx and telecommunications (ISP) infrastructure would be an asset.
  • Good knowledge of BOQs and BOMs for ISP networks.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering network deployment projects.
  • Experience working in a multinational company with a strong understanding of emerging markets.
  • Knowledge of IT and telecom networks.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and routing (OSP, BGP, MPLS).
  • Skills in network QoS management.
    Knowledge of data center environments.
