The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all daily operations. This role ensures the smooth functioning of machinery and personnel in the production of high-quality furniture pieces, from panel processing to upholstery and finishing. The ideal candidate will lead a team of operators and artisans, enforce production schedules, uphold safety standards, and ensure product quality aligns with company expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise daily activities across all production units including CNC cutting, edge banding, upholstery, and finishing.
• Assign and monitor tasks to machine operators, carpenters, and upholsterers based on production plans and deadlines.
• Oversee the setup, calibration, and safe operation of machines including CNC saws, edge banders, air compressors, and dust collection systems.
• Ensure proper workflow coordination across departments to prevent bottlenecks and maintain efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks on in-process and finished products to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor the use of materials to reduce waste and ensure accountability in material handling.
• Identify machine faults or production delays and escalate issues for immediate technical resolution.
• Enforce compliance with all health and safety regulations, ensuring team members use PPE and follow safe work practices.
• Train new team members on machine operation, safety protocols, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production output, downtimes, staff attendance, and machine maintenance activities.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Mechanical/Production Engineering, Woodwork Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in furniture production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of woodworking machines and equipment, including CNC systems, air compressors, and edge banding units.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and job specifications.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
