Job Description
Purpose: br>o Compile and analyses body fluids, tissue, and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings.
o ather and organizes work by matching computer orders with specimen labelling; sorting specimens; checking labels; logging specimens; arranging reports for delivery; keeping work surfaces clean and orderly.
o Perform molecular diagnostics such as PCR using open and closed systems. Perform hematology, chemistry, immunology and microbiology tests as required. Perform infectious disease testing.
Engagement:
o Identify and communicates abnormal results by alerting supervisory personnel, the patient, physician, or nurse.
o Communicate with patients and family members in a professional, compassionate and respectful manner to facilitate healthcare delivery as a team member.
Delivery:
o Process and enhances laboratory services and laboratory reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
o Operate sophisticated equipment and instruments to perform diagnostic tests and assays following standard operating procedures. Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers by following established standards and procedures
o Process and maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
Targeted Specializes Knowledge
o Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a Medical Laboratory, Clinic or hospital. < r>o A minimum Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
o Additional training and experience in molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR
o Candidate must possess a Certification from the Associate of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN)
o Candidates must possess a current practicing license. Relevant Certification will be an added advantage

The Laboratory Scientist is responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses to provide accurate and reliable data in support of scientific research, testing and development. The role involves ensuring that all tests meet quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing clear documentation of results. br>
Responsibilities
1. Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, experiments, or analyses according to established protocols.
2. Interpret test results and compare them with the expected outcomes to ensure
accuracy.
3. Record, analyze, and present findings in a clear, organized manner
4. Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
5. Monitor the inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering necessary materials as required.
6. Ensure all procedures are followed in accordance with industry standards, guidelines, and regulations (e.g., Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)).
7. Participate in internal audits and external inspections when required.
8. Prepare and maintain detailed records of laboratory experiments, tests, and analyses.
9. Communicate findings effectively with supervisors and other stakeholders.
10. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials
11. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related field < r>

- Expertise in performing laboratory tests, analyzing data, and using laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and methodologies specific.
- Precision in carrying out tests and documenting results. Ability to identify discrepancies or errors in test results and correct them.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, such as equipment malfunctions or test inconsistencies, and find appropriate solutions
Strong analytical skills to interpret experimental data and generate meaningful insights or conclusions.
- Proficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and general office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting.
- Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO standards) and laboratory safety procedures.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician to join our cardiac team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and pacemaker insertions. This role requires proficiency in operating advanced imaging and monitoring equipment, with strict attention to sterile procedures and patient safety protocols throughout.
Key Responsibilities:Pre-Procedure:
Prepare and maintain sterile field and instruments.
Assist in patient preparation, positioning, sterilization, and administration of medications.
Review patient history and confirm readiness for procedure.
Perform pre-procedure equipment checks.
Ensure availability and validity of all required consumables and tools.
During Procedure:
Operate fluoroscopy, ECG, and hemodynamic monitoring systems under direction.
Monitor and document patient vitals continuously.
Assist with catheter insertions, dye injections, and use of instruments.
Uphold all radiation safety and infection control standards.
Post-Procedure:
