Job Summary
We are looking for a Training School Administrator to support our training function. You will be responsible for communicating with participants and vendors and assist with developing the most effective programs. In this role, you should combine a strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and work under pressure. You should also be a reliable problem-solver and with strong project management skills. Your goal will be to ensure that our training programs are engaging and run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Participate in creating and implementing training programs
Maintain training records (e.g. trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets)
Book classrooms and ensure they’re properly set up < r> Prepare and disseminate material (e.g. instructional notes, feedback forms)
Act as a point of contact for vendors and participants
Handle accounts receivable and ensure invoices are paid
Resolve issues as they arise on site
Submit reports on training activities and results
Recommend improvements or new programs
Ensure employees and vendors follow established policies
Requirements:
BSc/BA in Hospitality Management, Business, Psychology or a related field
Proven experience as a Training Administrator, HR Assistant, or similar role
Experience in project management
Knowledge of office procedures and billing
Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
Outstanding communication skills
Strong attention to detail

br>Background information on the Peace & Security Center (PSC):
ur clients PSC is a principal service provider in the field of mine action with other United Nations (UN) agencies, governments of mine affected countries & other mine action partners. The centre is responsible to administer, provide support & oversight of the day to day management of the project field offices, both according to the client requirements & in line with our clients rules & regulations. It is headed by the Centre Director who has the overall authority & accountability for the performance of the PSC on behalf of its clients.
Background information on our clients stakeholder:
They are the coordinator for mine action within the UN system, located within the Office of Rule of Law & Security Institutions (OROLSI) at the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO). It chairs the Inter Agency Coordination Group on Mine Action (IACG MA) & is the lead of the Global Protection Cluster (GPC) Mine Action Area of Responsibility (MA AoR). Mine action comprises five areas of work:
Clearance.
Risk education.
Victim assistance.
Advocacy.
Stockpile destruction.
The UN applies mine action expertise to an increasingly wide range of explosive hazards, from unexploded missiles, artillery shells, rockets, grenades & mortars, to unsafe & unsecured weapons & ammunition, improvised explosive devices & cluster bombs. Our clients stakeholder leads, coordinates & carries out efforts to mitigate these threats when mandated by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) or when requested by the Secretary General or an affected country, often in response to a humanitarian emergency.
Background information on the Nigeria response:
Our client in Nigeria plans, manages & oversees all humanitarian mine action activities in the north east of Nigeria. It provides technical support to all partners & ensures the proper integration of mine action into wider humanitarian assistance & developmental programs.
At the request of the UN Country Team (UNCT), a technical scoping mission was conducted by in April 2017. Following this, they were asked to provide humanitarian mine action assistance in the northeast of the country. As a result, they deployed a small team in 2018 to provide technical assistance, including coordination, planning, technical advice & support to the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT), the humanitarian community, affected populations & national authorities.
Background information on the job:
This Terms of Reference (TOR) outlines the scope of work for an Operations Associate who will support the Operations Officer in delivering training packages & providing mentorship to members of the police & Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the areas of Explosive Hazard Awareness Training (EHAT), All Arms Search Course (AASC), Conventional Munitions Disposal (CMD) levels 1, 2 & 3 and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) basic course. This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of these security agencies in effectively managing explosive threats & contributing to national security.
Role objectives
The Operations Senior Officer will work under the direct supervision & guidance of the Operations Manager. The primary objective of this role is to provide operational support to the training program, ensuring its smooth implementation & effectiveness. This includes:
Support the Operations Manager with the delivery of CMD (levels 1, 2 & 3) & IEDD basic training courses to police & NSCDC personnel.
When required, take on the role of the Trainer for specific modules, as directed by the Operations Manager.
Contribute to the development & maintenance of training materials, schedules & resource management.
Contribute to the implementation of Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) processes.
Support the National Mine Action Centre (NMAC) in operational planning.
Contribute to the development of National Mine Action Standards (NMAS) or National Technical Standards & Guidelines (NTSGs) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as directed.
Training delivery support:
Maintain accurate records of training attendance, performance & feedback, as directed.
Support the delivery of practical exercises & assessments, as required.
Coordination with the police & NSCDC on addressing any issues affecting the training delivery requirements.
Training development & planning support:
Support the development & maintenance of comprehensive training schedules & modules, ensuring they are up to date & reflect any changes.
Support in the identification & procurement of necessary equipment required for the training.
Monitoring & QA / QC support:
Contribute to the implementation of the monitoring & QA / QC plan.
Support the development of assessment tools & conduct regular evaluations, mentorship initiatives for the police & NSCDC personnel, as directed by the Operations Manager.
NMAC support:
Provide operational support to the NMAC in operational planning, as required.
Contribute to the preparation of reports & presentations for the NMAC.
Standards development support:
Support the Operations Manager in the development or review of NMAS or NTSGs & SOP. This may involve research & document management.
Operational support:
Draft reports, briefing notes & summary documents related to operational activities, including the training project.
Liaise with authorities, affected communities & other stakeholders & organize meetings if requested by the Operations Manager.
Collect & record operational data using the Information Management System (IMSMA) & related tools.
Support the preparation of operational updates, highlighting successes & challenges.
Perform other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
Project reporting
The Operations Senior Officer will work under the direct supervision & guidance of the Operations Manager.
Key competencies
First level university degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required or advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) combined with 2 years of relevant experience or military or police experience with at least 8 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
A minimum of 2 years of proven & applicable experience (within the past 10 years) in providing training courses to national authorities, including the police or the military is required.
Experience in providing CMD 3 & IEDD basic courses is required.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Level 3 & Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) Level 2 certification is required, qualification must be from organisations that train & educate EOD Specialists in accordance with IMAS standards test & evaluation protocol 09 . 30 / 01 / 2022. Individuals are responsible for providing proof of completion.
Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) Level 3 is desired.
Fluency in English (writing, speaking & reading) is required.
Team management
This role has no team management responsibility.

Background br>The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to conserving wildlife and wildlands through science, international conservation, education, and managing the world’s largest system of urban wildlife parks. < r>The WCS Nigeria Country Program is a multi-donor-funded initiative operating across Cross River, Abuja, and Bauchi states.
To strengthen ranger capacity, WCS seeks to engage experienced trainers to provide specialized and basic ranger training across Cross River and Bauchi states. These regions face significant challenges, including:
Insecurity due to the presence of armed groups and kidnappers
oaching for the bushmeat trade
Human-elephant conflict

Scope of Work
The consultant or company will design and deliver specialized and basic training sessions in both states on a need basis throughout the year. The specific training sessions will be agreed upon by both parties through a Scope of Work issued per deployment. Training topics include but are not limited to:

Modifications:

Subcontractors:
After award of contract, WCS will have no obligation, financial or otherwise, to any subcontractor of the awardee. Nevertheless, any subcontract will be required to be subject to and consistent with the prime contract between WCS and the awardee, and WCS may require any subcontract to include specific terms and conditions.
Reserved Rights:
WCS at any time in its sole discretion may, without notice and without liability to any proposer or any other party for their expenses incurred in the preparation of the responses hereto or otherwise, do any and all of the following:
Amend or withdraw this RFP;
Accept or reject any and all proposals received in response to this RFP;
Award the contract to a proposer other than the proposer offering the lowest fee;
Request additional materials and clarification or modification of any submitted proposal;
Extend the time for submission of all proposals after notification to all prospective proposers;
Terminate negotiations with a selected proposer and select another proposer;
Take such action as WCS deems appropriate if negotiations fail to result in a signed agreement within a reasonable amount of time;
Terminate or modify the solicitation and selection process at any time and re-issue the solicitation to whomever WCS deems appropriate.
