The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory-related activities in the restaurant. This includes tracking food and beverage stock, ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support smooth kitchen and bar operations. The Inventory Manager plays a key role in cost control and efficient resource utilization. br>
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to forecast usage and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Place orders with vendors and suppliers while negotiating the best possible prices and terms.
Receive, inspect, and properly store all incoming stock in accordance with food safety standards.
Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) is practiced in all storage areas.
Track and report inventory waste, spoilage, and theft, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with the finance team to monitor inventory costs and support budgeting processes.
Maintain proper documentation and records of inventory transactions.
Use inventory management software (POS or ERP systems) to track inventory movement.
