The infrastructure support will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and day-to-day management of NG Clearing's IT infrastructure across its data centre and user offices. The role ensures infrastructure security, availability, scalability, and performance, in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Core Responsibilities and Key Result areas
Infrastructure Management & Operations
§ Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, network, backup, etc.)
§ Manage HP servers, FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switches, Forti WAF, and endpoint security (FortiClient).
§ Ensure optimal operation of the Manage Engine patch management system and Zabbix monitoring platform.
§ Maintain high availability and disaster recovery through Veeam Backup across both office sites.
Team & Vendor Management
§ Liaise with vendors, OEMs, and service providers for timely support, warranty, and SLA compliance.
§ Ensure proper documentation and change management practices across all infrastructure activities.
Security & Compliance
§ Implement and maintain infrastructure security policies in line with ISO 27001 standards and SEC/CBN guidelines.
§ Conduct regular reviews of firewall rules, patch levels, and configuration baselines.
§ Support audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response processes.
Strategic Planning & Projects
§ Design and implement IT infrastructure strategies that support business continuity, scalability, and digital transformation.
§ Collaborate with application and innovation teams on infrastructure requirements for existing and future solutions.
§ Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime.
Monitoring & Reporting
§ Utilize Zabbix and other monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues.
§ Prepare regular infrastructure performance and risk reports for executive review.
