JOB TITLE: Associate – Reconciliation

JOB DETAILS;

• We're looking for an Associate, Reconciliations to join the Global Operations team to ensure that our payment commitments are delivered on-time to our merchants.
• The right candidate for this role will play a critical role in enabling the realization of this opportunity and simultaneously ensuring optimal validation of balances and the reasonableness of each of the accounts that Flutterwave uses for its transactions.

Responsibilities
It include but are not limited to:

• Conduct reconciliation on financial records across all payment methods (collections and payouts) – examine the money coming in and going out of the organisation and make sure it is recorded and processed correctly
• Identify discrepancies and investigate discrepancies or errors that arise during the reconciliation process, determining their root causes and working to resolve them
• Research and analyse financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues that require further investigation.
• Prepare and present reports summarising the results of reconciliations, identifying any issues or discrepancies and recommending actions to address them.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that financial data is accurate and consistent across all areas of the business.
• Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations performed, ensuring that they are properly documented and filed for future reference.
• Work closely with Flutterwave partners and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Any other duties assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in internal/external auditing or reconciliations
• High attention to detail, well organised and excellent analytical skills.
• Strong excel skills, ability to handle large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
• Client engagement experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage projects.

Discrepancy Identification And Resolution

• Identify and investigate discrepancies or errors encountered during the reconciliation process.
  Determine the root causes of discrepancies and work collaboratively with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner.

Financial Analysis

• Research and analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues requiring further investigation.
  Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the reconciliation process.

Reporting And Communication

• Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing the results of reconciliations, highlighting any issues or discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.
  Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with other teams, including finance, operations, and customer support, to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across all areas of the business.
  Work closely with Flutterwave partners and internal teams to address issues and optimize reconciliation processes.

Recordkeeping And Documentation

Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations performed, ensuring proper documentation and filing for future reference and audit purposes.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the reconciliation function.
  Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to reconciliation processes and procedures.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

• Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.
  Undertake any other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 5 -6 years working experience in reconciliations or internal/external auditing
• High attention to detail, well organised and excellent analytical skills.
• Deep understanding in payments and knowledge of card scheme operations
• Strong SQL & Excel skills (Macros, Pivot tables etc.), ability to handle large amounts of data and compile detailed reports highly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reconciliation methodologies.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
• Fintech and Client engagement experience.
  Ability to work as part of a team and manage projects.

• The team is looking for a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Security who will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting secure network infrastructures with a strong focus on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), firewalls, and networking technologies.
• This role will involve conducting Network Vulnerability Assessments and providing security solutions across routers, firewalls, networks, and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Security & Firewall Management: Architect and maintain secure cloud infrastructures on AWS/Azure, ensuring firewall configurations are optimized to meet security requirements.
• Network Design with High Availability (HA): Design and implement highly available (HA) network infrastructures to ensure stability and uptime, integrating security into the core architecture.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) Implementation: Deploy and manage WAF solutions to protect web applications from malicious traffic and attacks, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5-9 years of experience in information security with a focus on cloud security, network design, and firewall management.
• Expertise in network design with a focus on high availability (HA) and resilient infrastructure
• Relevant technology and security certifications – One or more of CEH, Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), CEH, CISSP, and AWS/Azure Certifications.
• Technical expertise in network security knowledge, to include VPN, Firewall, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security, and wireless security
• Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques
• Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware
• Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, PowerShell)
