Position: Production Machine Operator
Industry: FMCG br>Location: Matori, Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Budget: NGN 150,000 Monthly Gross
Job Description (Summary)
As Production Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery in a cashew processing facility. This role ensures efficient and safe production operations while maintaining high quality standards and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and oversee cashew processing machines and equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
Monitor machine performance and conduct routine inspections to detect issues, performing minor repairs as needed.
Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment for optimal performance.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot machine malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly.
Record production data, including machine performance, downtime, and output quality, and report findings to the Production Manager.
Train and mentor junior operators on machine operation, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Assist in implementing process improvements and optimizing production efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or industrial operations is an asset. < r>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating production machinery, preferably in a food processing or similar manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in a supervisory or senior operator role is an advantage.
Proper experience with operating boilers and packaging machines is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Good communication skills and willingness to mentor junior staff.
Basic computer skills for data recording and reporting.
