Requirements:

SALARY :

*N235,000 - N355,000 PER MONTH

The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, & maintenance of all Electronics, Electrical, & Automation systems within the textile mill. This role requires an experienced professional who can drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, reduce downtime, & lead complex projects from conception to completion. The candidate will manage & mentor a team of technicians, coordinate with various departments, & ensure compliance with all safety & quality standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in Electronics & Automation, preferably within a textile manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

System Management & Maintenance

• Provide advanced-level support & troubleshooting for all electronically controlled machinery, including high-speed looms, spinning machines, dyeing equipment, & finishing lines.
• Develop, implement, & oversee preventive & predictive maintenance programs for electronic components, ensuring optimal machine availability & reliability.
• Diagnose & repair complex faults in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) & other industrial control systems.
• Analyze historical maintenance data to identify root causes of repetitive failures & implement corrective & fool-proof systems.

Automation & Project Leadership

• Lead new automation projects aimed at modernizing machinery & improving overall plant efficiency.
• Design, test & commission new electronic systems & control circuits for equipment upgrades & new installations.
• Collaborate with production & management teams to understand automation requirements & develop customized solutions.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, & resource allocation for all electronics & automation-related initiatives.

Team Management & Training

• Mentor & provide technical guidance to a team of electronics & maintenance technicians.
• Develop & deliver training sessions for maintenance staff & operators on new & existing electronic systems.
• Ensure that the maintenance team is up-to-date with the latest industry standards & best practices.

Quality & Safety Compliance

• Establish effective testing & quality control procedures for all electronic equipment & systems.
• Ensure that all electronic systems & activities comply with relevant health, safety, & environmental regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments for new equipment & modifications, developing & executing mitigation strategies.

Vendor & Inventory Management

• Liaise with equipment suppliers & vendors to source critical components & spare parts efficiently.
• Support the procurement team by technically evaluating bids & ensuring conformance to equipment specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all critical electronic spares & tools.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in troubleshooting & repairing PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), VFDs, & servo drives.
• Proficiency in reading & interpreting complex electrical schematics & circuit diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Demonstrated project management & leadership capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, & critical-thinking skills.
