We're looking for a high-impact Country Sales Manager (Nigeria) to lead enterprise adoption of Divest's stablecoin-powered payment solutions. We're building capital-efficient rails for B2B cross-border payments across Africa, empowering businesses and institutions to move funds from currencies like NGN, GHS, and KES to USD, EUR, and GBP in minutes using stablecoins such as USDC and USDT.
As our Nigeria Sales Lead, you'll own the full sales cycle — from pipeline creation to closing high-value deals and be directly responsible for smashing monthly volume targets from Day 1.
This role is ideal for a proven enterprise seller with deep relationships in Nigerian corporate banking, fintech, or treasury services, and a hunter mentality for new business.
Job Expectations
- Pipeline Creation:
Prospect, qualify, and close 8–10 new enterprise clients each month.
- Solution Selling:
Diagnose client pain points and architect USDC/USDT-powered payment flows tailored to their needs.
- Market Expansion:
Leverage your networks to dominate FX buyers across oil & gas, agriculture, fintech, and other key industries.
- Revenue Accountability:
Own and exceed monthly targets, with uncapped commissions for overperformance.
- Client Relationship Management:
Develop long-term relationships with CFOs and treasury heads to drive retention and account growth.
- Market Intelligence:
Track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform sales strategies.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution for clients.
- Reporting:
Present pipeline updates, deal status, and revenue forecasts to Divest leadership.
Critical Competencies
- 5+ years' enterprise sales experience in Nigerian banking, fintech, or treasury services.
- Proven track record closing $1M+/month deals (FX, payments, or SaaS).
- Deep relationships with CFOs/treasury heads in oil & gas, agriculture, or fintech sectors.
- Technical fluency in cross-border payments (SWIFT, letters of credit) and crypto/stablecoins.
- Hunter mentality: 70% prospecting, 30% account growth.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or STEM (MBA preferred).
- CIBN certification (e.g., ACIB, MCIB) or equivalent treasury/finance accreditation.
- Formal sales training such as MEDDIC, SPIN Selling, or Force Management.
- Strong regulatory knowledge — SEC ARIP, CBN FX guidelines, AML/CFT frameworks.
Cultural Competencies
- Entrepreneurial and experimental — thrives in a startup environment.
- Bias for action and growth, not afraid to fail fast and learn quickly.
- Mission-driven and passionate about expanding financial access in Africa.
- You work well with people of different backgrounds, identities, values and cultures
- You listen well, seek to understand and respond with empathy
- You give and take constructive feedback to and from colleagues at any level
