About the Role
The purpose of the role is to embed a culture of business integrity within the organisation. General Position Summary:
·
The M&E Officer is responsible for supporting CASWI staff to regularly collect, enter, verify and analyze data and make timely database adjustments, to measure the impact of the program.

He/she will work closely with other project team members and will closely coordinate with other program staff to help ensure monitoring and evaluation of data is accurately incorporated into all reports and information products.
Roles and Responsibilities

Understand and maintain an M&E system database that improves ability to inform program implementation, analyze data and represent impact to donors, government, partner organizations and communities.

Ensure all relevant program staff are able to utilize the database to analyze program information and results.
·
Regularly review data entered into the M&E system to locate and fix problems with data entry or integrity.

Work as part of a team to facilitate and support M&E operations including baseline, annual and end line surveys, regular monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting according to the M&E work plan.
·
Generate data tables/graphs/reports from the M&E database at regular intervals, ensuring reports/information are available for program implementation staff when required. Facilitate data analysis with program implementation team as requested.

Conduct regular field visits to ensure all elements of the M&E system and database are better to utilize effectively by all stakeholders, assessing and identifying breakdowns and areas that require clarifications and improvements.

Ensure field teams always have the most recent version of all M&E tools and documents.
·
Assist the team in improving the program's M&E systems by identifying good practices, field-tested lessons learned and creative recommendations; share with and encourage staff to incorporate these in their daily work.

Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will support the Momentum Country and Global Leadership (MCGL), project on all strategic information (SI) related implementation including data management. S/he will provide technical assistance to the State Ministry of Health PRS/M&E department and M&E designated officers at the supported health facilities at state level. Responsibilities
- The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will support all Monitoring and Evaluation initiatives and data related activities of the project. Specifically, the M&E Assistant will work closely with the Snr SIA to coordinate the implementation of all activities in the MCGL workplan
- The M&E Assistant will participate in conducting routine data quality validation/audit and provide regular feedbacks to improve the quality of data in all supported sites at the State level
- S/he will support the Snr SIA in collecting, collating and reporting all data tracked by the programs in addition to ensuring state M&E officers report and upload all required data on the DHIS2 every month.
- Work closely with the Snr SIA (MERL Advisor) in preparing PMP and responding to other M&E issues on all supported projects
- The M&E Assistant will support the Snr SIA in proposing strategies to increase data use and demand amongst program staff and support the program staff on ways to properly organize and capture program progress and document lessons learned
- S/he will assist the program staff in preparing sections of program reports that deal with monitoring and evaluation, and in the implementation of program assessments and evaluations
- S/he will work closely with the Snr Strategic Information Adviser in collating and submitting monthly and quarterly data through the DHIS2
- She/he will also support the state Team lead, Service/Quality Improvement Officers and Nutrition officers in data collection, collation, validation and capacity building of HCWs, Records officers, Nutrition officers, Health promotion officers and Immunization officers at State level
- Perform other duties relating to the project assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences, Public Health, Demography and Statistics or equivalent in any discipline in the social sciences
- At least 2 to 3 years' post-NYSC working experience in the implementation and management of health Strategic Information systems (MNCH programming preferred)
- Good computer skills using MS Excel, MS Access, SPSS and/or SAS and Epi-Info Windows
- Attention to detail and accuracy in basic data management, analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and deployment of database systems for patient monitoring will be an added advantage
- Cooperative, competent, hardworking, flexible and dependable in a multi-cultural, open office situation

System Support
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams by providing direct feedback on financial crime trends and rule performance to help refine and strengthen our detection and monitoring systems.
- Provide feedback to improve alert quality and reduce false positives.
- Assist in tuning and testing transaction monitoring systems and rules.
Training & Collaboration
- Participate in ongoing training and stay up to date on AML regulations and typologies.
- Work closely with other Risk and Compliance teams such as Compliance Reviews, Fraud. And other cross functional team Legal, Product, Engineering as needed.
- Liaise with the financial intelligence units and law enforcement.

- Have 4+ years of experience in an AML/CFT compliance role focused on financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, including the reporting requirements and guidelines of the FIU and Regulators.
- Are proficient with data analysis tools, particularly SQL and Excel, and can leverage them to investigate complex financial data.
- Exhibit excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with a high level of curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, especially through precise and detailed written narratives for investigation files and regulatory reports.
- Are proactive and can manage a caseload independently, taking the initiative to see investigations through to completion.

About Vetsark
Vetsark is a fast-growing agritech company supporting poultry and aquaculture farmers in Nigeria through our Prosperity Model, which bundles access to finance, training, high-quality inputs, market linkages, and digital farm management systems. We currently serve farms across 12 states in Nigeria.
As we expand, we seek a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to strengthen data-driven decision-making, demonstrate impact to stakeholders, and continuously improve our farmer support models.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitoring & Data Management (50%)
- Design and implement a comprehensive MEL framework for Vetsark's farmer financing, training, and offtake programs.
- Track farmer production cycles, repayment trends, yields, and market performance across poultry and aquaculture farms and clusters.
- Maintain real-time databases (Excel/Google Sheets/CRM tools) to ensure accurate and timely data entry by field agents.
- Conduct regular field visits to verify data, monitor farmer compliance, and assess project quality.
2. Evaluation & Impact Measurement (25%)
- Develop indicators to measure farm productivity, profitability, repayment performance, and farmer livelihoods.
- Conduct baseline, midline, and endline evaluations for donor-funded projects.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards showing economic, social, and environmental outcomes.
3. Internal Learning and Program Improvements (15%)
- Facilitate periodic learning reviews with departments to identify gaps and improvements.
- Help Vetsark refine its program model by translating MEL insights into actionable feedback for farmer-facing teams. This feedback should highlight successes and pinpoint challenges or key questions to address.
- Support training programs by translating MEL insights into farmer-friendly learning content.
- Prepare MEL reports for internal management, external partners, and investors.
4. External Knowledge Sharing (10%)
- Generate case studies, success stories, and lessons learned to communicate Vetsark's impact to funders, partners, and investors.
- Provide evidence to support fundraising proposals, investor pitches, and grant applications.
- Ensure alignment with international standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, or impact assessment (agriculture/agribusiness preferred).
- Strong quantitative skills (Excel, SPSS, STATA, PowerBI or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to design MEL frameworks and analyze field data.
- Experience working with farmers, cooperatives, or development projects is an advantage.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
