We are currently seeking an individual with experience in managing negotiation and supplier relationships to join us at Alliance Chemicals Global.
As a Technical Buyer, you will be at the center of managing customer requirements for sourcing products, ensuring requirements for product pricing, quality and delivery are optimized to meet business needs and targets.
You will undertake day to day negotiation and manage the relationship and performance with the existing suppliers as well as develop new ones in line with Alliance Chemical's procurement strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the defined procurement strategies for chemicals and strategic materials which take into account both demand and supply-side considerations.
Onboard and manage new suppliers in line with the resilience procurement strategy defined.
Negotiate high-spend contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions for Alliance
Manage day-to-day contractual relationships with suppliers, build long term rapport and ensure lowest cost of acquisition for Alliance Chemicals.
Negotiate favourable terms for the business with new and existing suppliers.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of goods
Measure quarterly supplier performance in line with defined KPIs and recommend actions for improvement.
Proactively analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
Share proactive market intelligence data on pricing trends, supply outlook and other key factors to empower the Sales Team to make informed commercial decisions.
Have full ownership of the source-to- pay process within Alliance Chemicals working closely with Procurement Operations Specialist.
Collaborate and work closely with the Supply Chain Team to ensure smooth delivery of products from the supplier to end customers.
Identify and implement process improvements initiatives (e.g., SOPs, checklists, workflow changes) with measurable impact on procurement process efficiency.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to procurement
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology , Supply Chain, Business Management or any related field
Minimum of two years' experience in a fast-paced work environment.
Working knowledge of procurement processes including Procure-to-Pay and Procurement Systems
Proficient computer knowledge/skills including sound use of Microsoft office tools
Commercially driven and results focused
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising on quality
