SamDenkens Group is recruiting a highly skilled and self-driven Site Supervisor (Civil Engineer) for a 6-month fixed-term contract to lead our ongoing building construction project in Sapele, Delta State. This project-based role requires immediate deployment and demands a professional who can deliver exceptional results within a defined timeframe.
Contract Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension subject to business needs)
Location: Sapele, Delta State
Reporting To: Senior Operations Officer
Expected Start Date: Immediately
Core Responsibilities
You will have full operational oversight of the Sapele construction site with accountability for:
- Daily site supervision ensuring all construction activities meet technical specifications and project standards
- Coordination of building/construction activities across all trades, contractors, and subcontractors
- Enforcement of safety and quality standards with zero tolerance for non-compliance
- Timely project delivery through proactive planning, problem-solving, and risk management
- Regular progress reporting to the Senior Operations Officer with accurate documentation of site activities
- Resource optimization to minimize wastage and control costs within approved budgets
- Technical problem resolution to address construction challenges without project delays
- Stakeholder liaison to maintain effective communication with project teams and management
Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or in Civil Engineering (B.Eng/B.Sc) from a recognized institution
COREN registration (highly desirable)
Experience Profile
- Minimum 4-7 years of proven site supervision experience in building construction
- Demonstrated track record of managing construction projects to successful completion
- Experience with contract/project-based engagements is an advantage
Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes, construction regulations, and safety standards
