About the Role:
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources (Manufacturing) to lead the HR function and drive organizational compliance, employee engagement, and people management. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Hausa and possess strong expertise in Nigerian labour laws and government compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and succession planning.
Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws and government regulatory bodies (NAFDAC, SON, EIA, local authorities).
Handle government compliance processes including pollution control and brand registration.
Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
Develop HR policies and procedures in line with industry standards and company objectives.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment while strengthening employee engagement.
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance for audits and inspections.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8–10 years' progressive HR experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry (manufacturing experience is a must).
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and government compliance requirements.
Fluency in Hausa language (required).
Proven ability to liaise with regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, EIA, and local authorities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in
Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field - Minimum of 10 years' HR experience
, with at least 5 years in a
senior HR leadership role
. - Proven track record in the
manufacturing sector - Strong knowledge of
Nigerian Labour Law and Industrial Relations
. - Experience working with
labour unions
and managing collective bargaining processes. - Strong knowledge of
government compliance and regulatory frameworks
(NAFDAC, SON, EIA, local pollution authorities, etc.). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
