Location: Lekki-Ajah br>Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our IT team and support our expanding infrastructure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). < r>• onfigure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices. < r>• M nitor network performance and perform regular system audits. < r>• U e tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds for network diagnostics. < r>• I plement and enforce network security policies and best practices. < r>• M intain user access, permissions, and network policies. < r>• A sist in network upgrades, expansions, and system migrations. < r>• P ovide technical support and troubleshooting for networking issues. < r>• E sure timely backups and network documentation. < r>
Technical Skills & Requirements:
• S rong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, routing protocols). < r>• H nds-on experience with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments. < r>• P oficiency in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. < r>• F miliarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds. < r>• S und knowledge of network security, firewalls, and best practices. < r>
Preferred Certifications:
• C mpTIA Network+ – required
Qualifications:
• BSc HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. < r>• 2 3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
• E cellent communication and documentation abilities.

To plan, install, configure, maintain, support and optimize network hardware and software and communication links. Also, to identify and remediate the potential security threats and assesses network vulnerabilities. br>Key Responsibility Areas

Conduct network vulnerability tests and perform periodic security audits and assessments

Requirements
a. Education:
Graduate in Computer science or equivalent
b. Other Certifications and competencies
Additional qualifications required include:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with specialization in Routing (and/or Security) < r>• MCSE in Windows Server < r>Competencies required:
• Management of the service switching between primary and secondary sites. < r>• Monitoring of the different virtual servers hosting the individual components of the application and ensuring optimal utilisation of the resources. < r>• Management of VMWare virtual servers < r>
c. Experience
1-3 years of experience in network and security domain management. Should have experience in setting up networks and implementing security guidelines and policies. Knowledge of implementing security standards will be preferred. Working knowledge of database administration will be an advantage.
