Job Summary
The financial controller is responsible for building and managing robust financial systems that enable strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. The ideal candidate works with the Head of Finance in advising the executive team on capital allocation, pricing strategies, and cost optimisation initiatives. br>
Key Responsibilities
i. Build financial models and dashboards that offer insights into unit economics, CAC: LTV ratios, and profitability by business line.
ii. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
iii. Establish internal financial controls, procurement policies, and cost management protocols.
iv. Support annual budgeting cycles, resource planning, and fundraising due diligence.
v. Conduct financial analysis to guide pricing, investment in new products, and headcount planning.
vi. Liaise with auditors, banks, and tax authorities to ensure full compliance.
vii. Manage cash flow, expense tracking, and account reconciliations.
viii. Manage the day-to-day transactions of the business.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; ACA/ACCA/CFA certification is a plus. < r>
3+ years of experience in finance roles, ideally in startups or high-growth environments.
Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Power BI).
Deep understanding of budgeting, compliance, and audit requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
