Job Description
We are seeking an innovative Communication and New Media Lead to oversee our organization’s digital communication strategy and media engagements. The ideal candidate will be a creative communicator with a deep understanding of media relations, digital platforms, content strategy, mass mobilization, media buy-in and public engagement.
br>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals. < r>
Manage relationships with print, radio, and television outlets to ensure effective media coverage.
Lead the development and management of digital media campaigns, including website content, social media, email newsletters, and online advocacy.
Create compelling and consistent brand messaging across all media platforms.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts using media analytics tools.
Supervise the production of press releases, articles, reports, and multimedia content.
Serve as the organization's spokesperson where necessary and coordinate media interviews and press briefings.
Train and support internal teams in media and communication best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Proven track record of successful media campaigns and digital engagement.
Excellent writing, editing, and public speaking skills.
Proficiency in managing social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), CMIS, and media analytics tools.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
MUST be Resident in Abuja; as selected candidate will be required to work from our Abuja office.
