Full Job Description
The Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor is responsible for
supervising the installation and general plant maintenance. To ensure
that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance
with safety regulations and quality standards. The supervisor manages
a team of technicians, coordinates work schedules, and liaises with
clients, contractors, and management to ensure successful project
execution.
- Supervise a team
of mechanical and electrical technicians, assigning tasks, providing
guidance, and ensuring work quality.
- Oversee the
installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical,
and other mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with
contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure proper
planning and execution of projects.
- Develop and
implement work schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and
timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with
safety regulations, codes, and industry standards during all project
phases.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues
or delays that may arise.
- Conduct regular inspections
and quality control checks to ensure work meets established
standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to
team members, assisting in complex problem-solving scenarios.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including
work orders, materials used, and labor hours.
- Manage
inventory of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project
execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's
degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10 years experience or more in Mechanical or engineering
roles
- Experience with core manufacturing maintenance
knowledge
- Proven experience in supervising
mechanical and electrical projects, preferably in facilities
management or construction.
- In-depth knowledge of
mechanical and electrical systems, codes, regulations, and safety
standards.
- Strong leadership and team management
skills, with the ability to motivate and guide technicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for
effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Professional certifications related to mechanical and
electrical systems (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license) are
a plus
