Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Energy Management Platform, Automation, Smart Facility & IoT Hardware Installation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing and configuring energy management platforms, automation systems, smart facility technologies, and IoT hardware. As an Installation Engineer, you will play a vital role in implementing our solutions at client sites, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand client requirements and project scope.
• Install and configure energy management platforms, automation systems, smart facility technologies, and IoT hardware at client sites.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify installation requirements and potential challenges.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Perform wiring, cabling, and connectivity tasks to connect IoT devices, sensors, and controllers.
• Configure software settings and parameters to optimize system performance and functionality.
• Test installed systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications.
• Provide training to client personnel on the use and maintenance of installed systems.
• Document installation activities, including as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to energy management, automation, and IoT.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in installing and configuring energy management platforms, automation systems, smart facility technologies, and IoT hardware.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and low-voltage installations.
• Familiarity with automation protocols and standards (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX).
• Experience with building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, lighting controls, and energy monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of IoT hardware installation, including sensors, actuators, gateways, and controllers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for installation and support activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Certification in energy management, automation, or IoT technologies.
• Experience with software programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and edge computing for IoT applications.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for IoT devices and networks.
• Experience in project management and coordination of installation projects.
