Full Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure their accuracy.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Present financial reports to management, highlighting key insights and trends.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Stay informed about changes in accounting principles and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Identify areas for process improvement and cost savings.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support their financial needs.
Provide financial insights to aid in decision-making processes.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ) is highly desirable.
Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
